How to Perform a Brazilian Blowout Professional Smoothing Treatment:

  1. Thoroughly wash hair with Brazilian Blowout Anti-Residue Shampoo. Don’t hesitate to wash hair multiple times, as hair must be extremely clean for the treatment to work properly.brazilian-blowout-wash

  2. Gently towel dry hair to get rid of excess moisture. The hair needs to remain wet throughout the treatment, so don’t overdo this step.

  3. Divide hair into four panels, two at the base of the head and two at the top.

  4. Measure the right amount of Brazilian Blowout Original Solution. The amount used depends on the length and thickness of the hair. Short hair requires between 1/4 and 1/2 oz., medium-length hair will use 1/2 to 3/4 oz., and hair that is longer than shoulder length will require 3/4 to 1 oz. of solution.brazilian-blowout-measuremnet

  5. Apply the solution to the two back panels of hair. The product should be applied to 1/2” to 1” wide sections of hair. The solution should be applied 1/4” to 1/2” off the scalp. It should be lightly dusted onto the hair with a color applicator—there’s no need to saturate the hair. After applying it with the color applicator, pullthe solution through each section with a fine-tooth comb.brazilian-blowout-application

  6. Apply the solution to the two front panels of hair. The solution should be applied to the root of the hair in the front sections with the color applicator, 1/2” - 1” off the scalp, then run through with a fine-tooth comb.

  7. Blow dry the hair as straight and smooth as possible. Try to keep the blow dryer at least 2” away from the hair to keep steam from being released.

  8. Flat iron the hair. This step seals the Brazilian Blowout solution into the hair and protects the hair with a layer of protein. The hair should again be separated into four panels. Start the flat iron process on the two bottom panels of hair. Flat iron the hair from root to end in 1/2” to 1” size subsections. Each subsection needs to be passed over at least four to five times. If you want the hair even straighter, pass over each section seven times.

  9. Rinse the hair with warm water for 1-2 minutes. Don’t use shampoo for this step.

  10. Apply a generous amount of the Deep Conditioning Masque. Work it through the hair for about a minute before rinsing the hair again and towel drying.

  11. Apply a nickel-size amount of the Smoothing Serum to the hair, working up from the ends.

  12. Blow dry the hair for a final time and style as desired.

After the treatment is done, make sure your clients take care of their hair by using the proper follow-up products, including:
